These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website ustorit.com and any related services, mobile applications, or communication platforms (collectively, the “Service”) provided by U-Stor-It (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using our facilities, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Description of Services

Ustorit.com provides an online platform to:

  • Search for and reserve self-storage units.
  • Manage rental agreements and monthly payments.
  • Access facility gate codes and account information.

User Accounts and Security

  • Account Accuracy: You must provide accurate and current information during registration.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and gate access codes. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Prohibited Content: You may not use our platform to transmit any malware, "spam," or illegal content.

Text Messaging & SMS Policy (A2P 10DLC)

To better serve you, U-Stor-It provides an SMS/text messaging service for account alerts, payment reminders, and marketing updates.

  • User Opt-In: By providing your mobile phone number on our website, through a mobile app, or during the leasing process, you expressly consent to receive non-marketing and marketing text messages from U-Stor-It, including those sent via automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
  • Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity (e.g., gate access alerts, payment confirmations, or monthly reminders).
  • Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
  • Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the number from which you received the message. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
  • Carrier Disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
  • Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.

Rental Agreements and Payments

  • Rental Contract: Use of a physical storage unit is subject to a separate Rental Agreement signed at the time of lease. In the event of a conflict, the physical Rental Agreement takes precedence over these website Terms.
  • Auto-Pay: By enrolling in auto-pay, you authorize ustorit.com to charge your designated payment method monthly.
  • Online Payments: By using our online payment portal, you authorize U-Stor-It to process payments via the credit card or bank account provided.
  • Late Fees: Late payments are subject to fees as outlined in your specific Rental Agreement and applicable state law.

Use of the Site

· Prohibited Content: You may not use the Site to upload any defamatory, infringing, or illegal material.

· Accuracy: We strive for accuracy in pricing and availability; however, we reserve the right to correct errors and cancel reservations made under incorrect pricing.

Prohibited Items

You agree not to store the following items at any U-Stor-It facility:

  • Flammable, explosive, or hazardous materials.
  • Perishable food items or animal products.
  • Living organisms (animals or plants).
  • Illegal substances or stolen property.
  • Items of extraordinary value (e.g., currency, high-end jewelry) unless specifically insured.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ustorit.com and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of The Service.
  • Loss or damage to stored property due to fire, theft, or natural disasters (customers are encouraged to maintain independent insurance).
  • Technical interruptions or errors on the website.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the website or your storage unit at our sole discretion for conduct that violates these Terms, non-payment, or for conduct that threatens the safety of our staff, other customers, or is harmful to our business interest.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
